Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Science Building Houses 45 Ultramodern Teaching and Research Laboratories, a Greenhouse, Observatory, and Much More

New Âé¶¹´«Ã½ City University (Âé¶¹´«Ã½) recently held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its fully-renovated and expanded Science Building on the Main Campus at 2039 Kennedy Boulevard in Âé¶¹´«Ã½ City.

The Science Building houses the Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Environmental Sciences, and Physics departments. The building is equipped with 45 ultramodern teaching and research laboratories, a greenhouse, observatory, imaging center, cell culture lab, bio-informatics lab, and Geographic Information Science lab. 

The Science Building expansion project included a 40,000 square-foot, five-story addition and a 70,000 square-foot renovation of the existing Science Building in the center of the Main Campus.

The project was funded by approximately $10 million in bond proceeds, as well as $34 million in grants from the State of New Âé¶¹´«Ã½ Capital Improvement Fund.
