Â鶹´«Ã½ City Leadership Awards to Celebrate Four Impact Makers for Exemplary Contributions to Â鶹´«Ã½ City
Â鶹´«Ã½ Foundation to Honor Â鶹´«Ã½ City Mayor Steven M. Fulop, Angelo J. Genova, Esq., Stefania Panepinto, and the late Thomas Stanton, Jr. on June 7
Four acclaimed individuals whose contributions to the City and people of Â鶹´«Ã½ City represent the pinnacle of excellence in the areas of the arts, innovation, and community building as a lifelong legacy will be honored with Â鶹´«Ã½ City Leadership Awards at a celebration presented by the New Â鶹´«Ã½ City University Foundation on Thursday, June 7, 2018. The event will take place at Liberty House in Â鶹´«Ã½ City, beginning at 6:00 p.m.
Rooted in the fundamental premise that bettering the quality of life for those who live, work, play, and study in Â鶹´«Ã½ City is a noble pursuit, the Â鶹´«Ã½ City Leadership Awards were conceived to honor, promote, and encourage exemplary efforts by individuals and organizations who have made and continue to make exemplary contributions to Â鶹´«Ã½ City.
The inaugural honorees, who will be recognized for the tremendous impact they have had on Â鶹´«Ã½ City and their efforts to positively transform our community, are:
- Â鶹´«Ã½ City Mayor Steven M. Fulop (Service)
- Angelo J. Genova, Esq., Senior Partner, Co-Founder and Chairman, Genova Burns, Attorneys-At-Law (Innovation)
- Stefania Panepinto, Founder, Panepinto Galleries (Arts)
- The late Thomas Stanton, Jr., a Â鶹´«Ã½ City banker, visionary and prime mover committed to the renaissance of his hometown, who helped transform the City’s waterfront into the thriving corporate and residential hub it is today (Legacy, awarded posthumously).
In announcing the Â鶹´«Ã½ City Leadership Awards, Â鶹´«Ã½ President Sue Henderson said, “We are proud to salute our outstanding honorees for their vision, achievements, and continuing commitment to advance their areas of expertise on behalf of Â鶹´«Ã½ City. The four inaugural recipients of the Â鶹´«Ã½ City Leadership Awards set the bar high for both professional and personal contribution to our community.â€
Dr. Henderson continued, “We also celebrate Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s nine decades of achievement and deep connection to this diverse city of opportunity. Since 1927, this University has been an integral part of the Â鶹´«Ã½ City community. As do those we honor, Â鶹´«Ã½ affirms its desire to ensure that Â鶹´«Ã½ City continues to thrive and grow.â€
