The New Â鶹´«Ã½ Youth Corps (NJYC) proudly celebrates its 40th anniversary this year, marking four decades of empowering young people across the state through education, workforce training, and community service. This milestone also commemorates 38 years of the NJYC program’s impactful presence at New Â鶹´«Ã½ City University (Â鶹´«Ã½), one of the longest-running sites in the state.

As part of this year’s celebration, NJYC invites current corps members, alumni, community members, and partners to a special Memorial Tree Planting Ceremony at A. Harry Moore School on May 14, 2025.

Following the tree planting, Youth Corps sites statewide will unite for a culminating Day of Service and Celebration on May 19, 2025, at Liberty State Park. This statewide gathering will bring together corps members, alumni, staff and elected officials to honor 40 years of service, showcase the impact of the program, and look ahead to its future. The event will include community service projects, recognitions, and a ceremonial program highlighting the shared mission of empowering New Â鶹´«Ã½â€™s youth.
